High-Safety Passenger Shuttle Fleets for Venezuela

In Venezuela’s capital, Caracas, sprawling hillside communities feature incredibly steep, narrow 35-degree concrete slopes where standard transit buses cannot operate. In 2022, a public transportation entrepreneur required a fleet of highly maneuverable, ultra-safe passenger tricycles. The vehicles had to conquer daily hill climbs under full passenger capacity, handle local fuel availability fluctuations, and guarantee absolute passenger safety on steep declines.

We completely redesigned the passenger platform and created a motorized tricycle specifically for urban transportation：

300cc Liquid-Cooled Powerhouse & CBS Brakes: We integrated a heavy-duty 300cc liquid-cooled engine with an external oil cooler to prevent overheating on endless climbs. For downhill safety, we installed an advanced Combined Braking System (CBS) with oversized hydraulic disc brakes.

Mechanical Hill-Hold & Climbing Gear Box: To eliminate the danger of stalling on slopes, we upgraded the transmission with a specialized 2-speed low-range climbing gearbox that doubles the torque on steep inclines. Crucially, we added a heavy-duty mechanical hill-hold handbrake lock, allowing drivers to stop and smoothly restart on 35-degree hills without sliding backward.
